If you’re the mom of a 20 something, you remember the days of mother-daughter-matchy-match.
We ordered matchy-match from exclusive southern catalogs.
We bought patterns and fabric so we could create our very own two-of-a-kind originals.
Matchy-match was the theme of many family photos, and it was SO much fun while it lasted.
But here’s the thing. It didn’t last long.
In the blink of an eye, our daughters were so over it.
Just about the time we were cutting four legs out of two sizes of a Butterick pattern for the 4th-grade PTA program, our beautiful daughters began to develop their own separate tween-age style.
Suddenly the desire to match their friends’ jeans and their friends’ shoes far eclipsed our daughters being agreeable to wear the miniature version of their mothers’ flouncy rompers with square white collars the size of Big Bend National Park.
If you have daughters, you know that you can no longer agree on wearing the same anything, but here’s some good news.
You and your daughters might not be able to wear the same clothes on the same day (in public), but having matching planners is okay. In fact, it’s totally in v-o-g-u-e.
Here are six matchy-match planners daughters will love to use. If you want to use the very same one – go for it! You will both be in style, and in great company.
