3 Fun Things Bringing Me Joy This Wednesday

3 Fun Things Bringing Me Joy This Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, y’all! Wednesdays are a wonderful day to take stock of the week. What’s been accomplished? What’s left on the list that needs to be done mid-week before week-end? If you’re like me, Wednesday always has that middle-of-the-road feeling, when I either chastise myself for not yet cleaning a bathroom, or commend myself for keeping the scale at the right number.

Wednesday could perhaps be the most thankful day of the week. I’m thankful for the people who have called and texted so far this week. It also brings me great joy to gaze upon a task list that’s quickly becoming filled with completed check marks. I’m smiling about smaller things, too, too, like a product I’ve found that brings a little less stress and a bit more joy to my daily routine.

Here are 3 fun things that are bringing me a jolt of joy on this particular Wednesday.

Concealer

I recently found this great concealer from Almay. It’s especially smooth. When I use it, it doesn’t feel the least bit cakey, and when I mix it with a dot of eye cream, it feels downright luxurious. I use it around my eyes and sometimes even further down onto my cheeks and nose.

I got mine at Walgreen’s, but here’s a link if you want to order a tube of this concealer from Amazon.

Monograms

Everyone loves a monogrammed gift!

My “B” monogrammed cosmetic bag was a great find from a sale table a few years ago, and I bought every initial they had so I could gift them to people I love.

It’s no wonder why we love monograms so much. They bring joy in a subtle, yet so personal way.

If you need to give a gift this week, consider a monogrammed golf towel like this one from Etsy that I gave my dad for his birthday.

Biscotti

Speaking of gifts: Biscotti.

I recently met a friend for the weekend in Ft. Worth. She’s a true blue whiz at gift giving. Maybe that’s because she always remembers when you say you like something, and then she efficiently stores that information away in her finely tuned gift-giving-brain-catalog.

Then, at some point in the future, when you’ve long forgotten that you told her you could eat biscotti every single day of the year, she gives you some. In a cute gift sack. With lots of colorful tissue paper.

Talk about a joy-bringer.

She’s probably on the hunt for monogrammed biscotti right now. LOL

Well, I hope to surprise my friend with some biscotti of her own sometime soon. Maybe I’ll stack a few dunkable delectables inside a monogrammed mug for her next birthday?

In any event, the birthday biscotti must be lemon flavored, because my friend loves all.the.lemon.things.

I know that because she told me, and I stored it away in my gift-giving-brain-catalog.

Don’t you just love this coffee mug?

Your Turn

Have you checked off exactly half of the items on this week’s to-do list? Way to go! Are you keeping that number on the scale where it should be? I’m so happy for ya! (A little jealous, though.)

Have you cleaned the bathroom? You have??

Ok, you win!

Well, I promise not to give you a hard time for being an Over-Fifty over-achiever if you’ll take a moment to savor a few minutes of biscotti joy and a cup of coffee with me, okay?
